Dr. Grigoris Th. Kostakis holds a Ph.D. degree from the National Technical University of Athens and graduated from the Mechanical Electrical Engineering department of the National Technical University of Athens. He completed his PhD thesis at the NTUA in the field of power electronics.

Dr. Grigoris Th. Kostakis has been working in the industry since 1982 both at management and technical level with particular emphasis on the areas of designing competitive innovative electrical and electronic products with main focus on penetrating into new strategic markets.

From July 2018 το December 2018 , he was executive member of the Board of Directors of HEDNO, supervising Network Development and Operation. From 2005 to 2018 he worked for Raycap S.A as a Managing Director. From 1982 to 2005 he worked in the Greek industry in management and technical roles for various companies such as Netcom SA, Chourdakis SA, AEG Hellas, STAT (AT&T). Dr. Grigoris Th. Kostakis has a recognized presence in the field of electrical energy with a significant number of global patents and products that have been used exclusively by leading companies such as Vestas, General Electric, AT & T, Verizon, SMA, Motorola, etc. (See https://patents.justia.com/inventor/grigoris-kostakis). He has served as a member of various committees and research groups, such as SEV representative at the Ministry of Development & Committee for Electric Vehicle. Dr. Grigoris Th. Kostakis has a number of publications in international scientific journals, participations in scientific conferences, as well as has provided consulting services for a number of research projects in the field of electricity distribution.
