With more than 30 years expertise in Strategic Communications and Public Relations, Maria Lazarimou has developed several Corporate Communications, Crisis and Media Relations programs for leading national and global corporations. She was one of the first professionals in the PR Industry to recognize the importance of Social Media in Communication. She has served as CEO of Burson-Marsteller Affiliate Agencies in Greece (1993 – 2016), while she began her career as E.U. Relations Officer at the Federation of Greek Industries before joining the communications consulting sector.
She holds a BSc on Public Law and Political Science from Athens Law School, and the Certificate of Advanced European Studies from The College of Europe- Bruges Belgium.
Maria has served as Vice-President of the Hellenic Association of Advertising and Communication Agencies (EDEE), Member of the Public Relations Executive Committee at the Hellenic Association of Advertising and Communication Agencies, and Board Member of the Institute of Communication.
